A Message from Beth Chamberlin

Beth Chamberlin (Beth Spaulding, GL) has advised her Fan Club that she and some of the other actors have been very moved by the heartfelt letters and e-mails received from their fans concerning the cancellation of Guiding Light.

They plan to print these messages about the show, the characters and what Guiding Light means to the viewers and deliver them to Ellen Wheeler and P&G. The Fan letters can be a way of giving fuel to the fight to save the show.

If you would like to participate in this effort, which is open to all Guiding Light Fans, please e-mail your thoughts and comments about Guiding Light to Beth at BethChamberlinOFC@yahoo.com as soon as possible, and her fan club presidents will forward those e-mails to her.

This way you can be sure your letters will be hand delivered to Ellen Wheeler and Procter & Gamble.

Tina Sloan Celebrates 25 Years on GL

Tina Sloan (Lillian Raines) is celebrating her 25th anniversary with Guiding Light this month. Tina joined the show in 1983.

Beth Chamberlin, who has played her daughter, Beth, since 1989, had this to say about Tina: “To say that Tina is the best TV mom anyone could ask for, doesn't begin to touch just how much she has meant to me over the years. She has protected me, mentored me, inspired me and prodded me (I occasionally need this). By her example, she has taught me to be a better actress, friend, and co-worker. She is gracious, elegant and vivacious. I consider it one of the great good fortunes of my life to have been put into her beautiful orbit.”

Abs of Steel

Excuse me as I toss yet another handful of M&M's in my mouth as I write this, but Beth Chamberlin (Beth, Guiding Light) inspires me. At the age of fortysomething(?), she has a workout video, and she has a rock-hard stomach to prove she actually did the work! I've never heard of this type of aerobic and strengthening activity before, which involves a "kettlebell," but after seeing her abs on the video's website, I'm ready to give it a try.

The Kettlebell Way To Your Perfect Body is a total fitness workout led by America's foremost kettlebell expert, Anthony Diluglio and kettlebell enthusiast, Beth Chamberlin. For more information visit http://www.beacon-fitness.com/.
