Dennison to Judge YouTube Contest

Bonnie Dennison, who plays bad-boy magnet Daisy Lemay on Guiding Light, has agreed to be a judge for the "Be Reel Savvy" YouTube contest, a trailer competition promoting Lynn Messina's new young-adult novel Savvy Girl.

Dennison announces: "I'm so excited to be a part of this contest. It's such a cool opportunity to be able to create your own trailer and I'm curious to see what people come up with."

Dennison joins a panel of judges that includes Christine Peters, producer of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days; Jules Asner, former host of E! News Live; Jennifer Armstrong, senior writer for Entertainment Weekly; Marlene Perez, author of Dead Is the New Black.

The "Be Reel Savvy" contest invites readers to produce a 30- to 60-second online video trailer for Savvy Girl (Harcourt, $7.95, paperback). Entries are due by Aug. 15, 2008. The grand prize will be a 60 GB Panasonic SDR-H60 hard-drive camcorder. For the official rules, visit SavvyGirl.us/contest.
