Zach Roerig Is Out as Casey on ATWT

Unless there is a recast, it looks like Casey Hughes is going to be doing some serious prison time. Zach Roerig, Casey's portrayer, has opted not to renew his contract when it expires. He leaves the show at the end of this month, with his last appearances airing in May. Zach, who has been with As the World Turns since January 2005, wants to concentrate on acting work outside the realm of daytime television. He recently completed a movie called Tie a Yellow Ribbon and has been actively auditioning for pilot season.

Good luck out there, Zach. We think you'll do just fine.

New Greenlee Debuts on All My Children

In less than a week, AMC fans will get to see the new Greenlee in action. According to a statement by officials at AMC: "Sabine Singh has been cast in the contract role of Greenlee Smythe Lavery on All My Children."

The original Greenlee, Rebecca Budig, was approached about reprising her role, and she was game to doing a short-term stint, however, producers wanted Greenlee back for a long-term contract. Rebecca and husband Bob Guiney are happily settled on the West Coast, and didn't want to uproot and come back to NYC, where AMC is filmed.

Fans can catch their first glimpse of Sabine on Monday, April 16.

POLL: Who Should Win Outstanding Supporting Actor?

Are Felicia and Storm Sittin' in a Tree?

While interviewing Lesli Kay for my interview column (which will run the week of April 27), I asked her if there is any truth to the rumors that Felicia might become involved with Storm Logan? She replied: “With Brad, rumors are just rumors until you see it on the written page. But no, it’s not in any of my scripts.”

So, as of now, it's just rumor. But, in the world of soaps, as we all know, anything can happen!

In the interview, Lesli opens up about her father's fight with colon cancer, and what it took out of her to play this part, and to do the part justice. It's a really great interview, so please try google it (if your paper does not carry the column) anytime after April 27 so you can read this interesting interview. It's definitely worth it!

Former Days Star Passes Away

Aside from various acting projects, he also wrote, directed and produced documentaries for The History Channel and A&E. He is survived by his wife, actress Susanne Zenor, who played Margo Horton on Days from 1977 to 1980.
